Arthur J. HillCo-Founder and Chairman
Mr. Hill works on development projects, as well as acquisitions, dispositions and other key transactions for AHC Funds. Prior to forming AHC, Mr. Hill served as Chairman of Homart Development Co. and later, as Chairman of its parent, the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, which included CBRE, Homart Development Co. and Coldwell Banker Residential, along with banking and mortgage entities. Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA. He is a retired Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, a member of the Urban Land Institute (Multifamily Silver Council) and the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served on the Board of Directors of Sears Roebuck and Co., Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, Coldwell Banker Residential Group, Pinnacle Holdings and Allstate Bank, formerly a subsidiary of Allstate Insurance.
John M. StoopsPrincipal, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Stoops oversees all finance and accounting functions at AHC, including investor account management, and is actively involved with acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management for AHC Funds. Mr. Stoops is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stanford University, and an MBA (with Distinction) with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Stoops serves on the Board of Trustees and chairs the Finance Committee of Providence Englewood Charter School in Chicago.
Bruce A. ReidCo-Founder and Senior Principal
Mr. Reid is involved with all acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and management for AHC Funds. Previously, he was a senior executive for Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group in Chicago. Mr. Reid was one of three founding owners of Coldwell Banker Canada (now CBRE), where he was Vice President, Sales and Investment Marketing. He holds degrees in Economics from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and an MBA (with Distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business of Western University Canada. Mr. Reid holds the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and is Vice Chairman of the Chicago Chapter of The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE)™ and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Lake Forest Open Lands Association, leading the Land Acquisition and Preservation Committee.
Robert Y. GilbertPrincipal
Mr. Gilbert works on multifamily development projects and oversees management of multifamily assets for AHC Funds, which includes responsibility for leasing, operations, capital improvement, disposition, and supervision of third-party service providers such as leasing agents and property managers. Mr. Gilbert holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a Master’s degree from Sir John Cass Business School, City University-London, England and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois.
Thomas C. ZaborPrincipal
Mr. Zabor directs the acquisitions/dispositions process and works with lenders to secure and manage debt arrangements for AHC Funds. Mr. Zabor has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois, and holds the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Mr. Zabor joined AHC from Henderson Global Investors, an investment advisor for institutional clients, where he and his team closed real estate acquisitions and dispositions exceeding $360 million over 24 months.
Lindsey L. StaddenPrincipal, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Stadden is responsible for general accounting and financial functions for AHC Funds and AHC operating entities. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining AHC, Ms. Stadden was a Senior Tax Associate with a focus in real estate at CBIZ MHM, LLC in Chicago.
Daniel A. BroderickPrincipal
Mr. Broderick is actively involved with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and asset management for AHC Funds, especially in the southeastern United States. He also helps oversee the firm’s investor relations and legal functions. Mr. Broderick earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Duke University and a law degree, cum laude, from Boston University.
Before joining AHC, Mr. Broderick headed the corporate development and legal functions for a third-party logistics provider, leading to its acquisition. Previously, Mr. Broderick practiced law at an AmLaw 100 firm and held operations and planning roles at a Fortune 300 electric utility company.
Mark S. PalaceInvestment Associate
Mr. Palace is actively involved with the acquisitions, dispositions, and reporting processes for AHC Funds. Prior to joining the team, he worked on the development acquisitions team at CA Ventures and the investment sales team at CBRE in Chicago. Mr. Palace is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Enterprise Management from Wake Forest University.
Alex N.J. ReidDevelopment Manager
Mr. Reid is responsible for project management and asset stabilization in Texas, as well as prospecting new acquisitions in selected markets. He holds a B.A. (Economics) and Bachelor of Journalism, both from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Prior to joining AHC, Mr. Reid was an analyst with Jones Lang LaSalle. Mr. Reid is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois.
Kimberly J. EhlkeOperations Manager
Ms. Ehlke carries out the daily operations of the AHC office and also assists with general bookkeeping tasks and investor account management. Prior to joining AHC, Ms. Ehlke managed the office and staff of a large dance and music school in the Chicagoland area. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship, with a focus in Leadership, from Central Michigan University.
